Tucson2016-211CalciteAmethystRioGrandeDoSulBrazil11cm.jpg (358880 bytes)

MIN#Tucson2016-101 NEW!

Gorgeous specimen featuring gem golden Calcite crystals with Quartz var. Amethyst!
A wonderful combination piece which displays a cluster of golden Calcites with some of the sharpest,
most distinct phantoms I've seen in a long time. A sparkling micro-crystalline coating of Hematite sprays
outlines the earlier terminations which are now visible through the gemmy, glassy Calcite exteriors. This
cluster sits alongside a gemmy purple cluster of Amethyst crystals which display some of their own internal
phantoming. There are also two additional isolated Amethyst crystals atop the Calcites. In excellent condition.

From Ametista do Sul, Alto Uruguai region, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
Measures 9 cm by 11 cm by 7.2 cm in total size.

MIN#Tucson2016-102 NEW!

Aesthetic specimen featuring Amazonite crystals and Cleavelandite surrounded a large Smoky Quartz!
A beautiful combination specimen of turquoise-colored Amazonite and Smoky Quartz from Colorado.
Not only is this specimen very well balanced and super aesthetic, it's also one of the few you will ever
find that is completely unrepaired! This specimen is unrestored and unrepaired and nearly pristine.
The only contact I see is a natural one and it gets lost in the Cleavelandite. This is a great specimen!

From Teller County, Colorado.

Tucson2016-203SilverTamdrostMineMorocco10cm.jpg (446646 bytes)

MIN#Tucson2016-103 Sold!

Spectacular plate featuring feathers of Native Silver on Quartz matrix!
This amazing specimen is from a new find in Morocco and was part of a very small collection
of Silver "feathers" discovered. The feathers are actually crystalline dendrites but the crystals
are solid with no gap between the dendritic structure. This imparts the feather look to the crystals
and it is one of the most incredible things I've ever seen. There are well over a dozen feathers on
the white Quartz matrix and all are complete, firm, and study. They are covered by a soft, sparkling
surface luster although some do exhibit a slight golden patina. In excellent condition with no damage.

From the Tamdrost Mine, Tamdrost, Bou Azer District, Tazenakht, Ouarzazate Province, Morocco.
Measures 6.8 cm by 10 cm by 2.8 cm in total size.

Lustrous dendrites of Native Silver on Quartz matrix!
An exceptional example of fine herringbone crystal formation, not from Batopilas, but from
the San Genaro Mine. Brilliant luster rolls across the fine crystalline dendrites on both front
and back with a 2+ cm spinel twin shooting across the very top. This is easily one of the most
attractive small miniatures that I've seen from the San Genaro Mine. In excellent condition.

From the San Genaro Mine, Castrovirreyna Province, Huancavelica Department, Peru.

MIN#Tucson2016-112 NEW!

Rare specimen featuring a large, gemmy, golden Barite crystal on Chalcopyrite matrix!
This is something of an oddity because I've never seen a golden Barite from this locality, especially
one with gemminess. Some brownish Barite specimens were found at this mine a couple years ago but
nothing of this quality and color that I know of. The Barite at top is very glassy and lustrous with good
transparency. It measures 3.6 cm in size and sits atop a matrix of coated Chalcopyrite crystals. No damage.

of the Stibnite with several others. Accenting both the larger Calcites and Stibnite blades are bright
white micro-crystals of Calcite. Very flashy and very aesthetic, this specimen is in excellent condition.

MIN#Tucson2016-114 NEW!

Fine crystals of doubly terminated Calcite atop a light pink Danburite crystal!
Aesthetic specimen which is as much a Calcite specimen as a Danburite one. The Danburite is
well terminated with a gemmy tipped termination and very glassy surfaces. The Calcites attached to
both sides of the Dan burite are doubly terminated with the Calcite on the right side actually being
just one of a series of stacked Calcites which extend all the way down towards the bottom of the
pink Danburite. All the surfaces are highly lustrous and the specimen is in excellent condition.
