MIN#TUCSON2017-121 Sold!

Exceptional specimen featuring an entire pocket of deep red scalenohedral Rhodochrosite with Fluorite on dark matrix!
This is a true museum quality plate which has literally preserved an entire pocket of Rhodochrosite thanks to the slightly
concave structure of the matrix! Large, deep red and gemmy Rhodochrosite scalenohedrons cover the dark interiors of
the pocket from one side to the other. The crystals measure to 2+ cm in size and some are doubly terminated. Also inside
the pocket are small crystals of clear Fluorite octahedrons and some smaller micro-crystals of Rhodochrosite. This is a
tremendous, nearly pristine specimen and one that is worthy of the finest collections. I've not seen a better example.
From the Uchucchacua Mine, Oyon Province, Lima Department, Peru.
Measures 8.7 cm by 13 cm by 6.3 cm in total size.

Tremendous specimen of semi-crystalline Native Gold on Quartz matrix!
This is a super aesthetic specimen from the Gold fields of Western Australia. Gold is usually found
in nugget form and matrix specimens, especially matrix specimens of this quality and eye appeal, are
exceedingly rare. The color of the Gold is brilliant and it penetrates deep into the Quartz matrix and
can actually be seen as a seam along the bottom side edge. One of my favorite Golds from the show.
From Laverton, Laverton Shire, Western Australia, Australia.
Measures 7.2 cm by 3.4 cm by 3.2 cm in total size.

Superb specimen featuring super lusterous, iridescent blades of Covellite with Pyrite crystals!
One of the finest Covellites I've seen from this classic locality, this is the second time I've had
the honor of offering this beautiful specimen. The bladed crystals are sharp and super lustrous
with a brilliance I rarely see in a Covellite specimen. The color is very iridescent with vibrant blues
and reddish-purples throughout. Atop and between many of the standing blades are flattened crystals
of golden Pyrite. Visually, this specimen is stunning and the edges are complete with minor contacting.

Gemmy crystals of green Demantoid Garnet with white acicular sprays of Wollastonite!
This specimen caught my eye from across the showroom. The visual aesthetics of the "fan-like" white
Wollastonite sprays against the grassy green Demantoid Garnets is stunning to say the least and the
combination is not commonly found on a plate of this size and overall quality. The Garnets are a rich
grassy green and super lustrous with glassy faces. They are well protected by the slightly concave
structure of the matrix and the Wollastonite acicular crystals spray outwards from the higher edges
surrounding the Garnets. In excellent condition with no detractions to speak of. Simply beautiful!
From the Khost Province (Khowst Province), Afghanistan.
Measures 11 cm by 8.3 cm by 5.4 cm in total size.

MIN#TUCSON-125 Sold!

Gorgeous crystal of bi-colored Aqua-Morganite with a dark red Tantalite crystal on Cleavelandite!
One of the prettiest combo specimens I've seen in a while, this large bi-colored Beryl crystal displays
a lovely mix of blue and pink pastel coloration with the interior seemingly more Aquamarine and the
outer faces appearing to be more Morganite. The crystal is complete and glassy and sits atop the
white Cleavelandite blade covered matrix. Just to its right is a lustrous, terminated Tantalite crystal.
These crystals were once called Manganotantalite due to their dark reddish color and presence of
Manganese. Ths combination of Beryl and Tantalite is not a common one. In excellent condition.
From the Laghman Province (Lagman Province; Nuristan), Afghanistan.

MIN#TUCSON-126 Sold!

Super rich specimen of Native Silver crystals with Pyrargyrite on Calcite matrix!
This is an impressive specimen to say the least. There are literally dozens and dozens of small Silver
crystals with Pyrargyrites poking out between. The Silver crystals are somewhat rounded in appearance
and drape over both the front and back sides of the white Calcite matrix. The Pyrargyrite crystals are
sharp and lustrous and appear as crystals along the top and change over to seams of Silver Sulfide which
stretch down the length of the matrix, imparting a "marbled appearance" onto the Calcite. Very nice!

Fine blades of reddish-orange Wulfenite on sparkling Quartz crystal covered matrix!
Brilliant, transparent, and highly lustrous, these deeply colored Wulfenite crystals contrast well
against the darker Hematite colored Quartz matrix. They measure to 1 cm in size and are sharp with
only a few trivial contact present. The specimen was well trimmed to preserve the very interesting
crystal lined matrix vug situated to the right of the Wulfenite blades. Unique and very aesthetic.
Note: The back side of this cabinet sized plate is completely covered by small Quartz crystals.

Breathtakingly beautiful plate of blue Fluorite with reddish-purple zoning and minor Strontianite crystals!
This is
the rich color that collectors search for! A saturated deep blue with vivid reddish-purple internal zoning!
The specimen is very lustrous and complete with no detractions or contacts to speak of. The Fluorite crystals
light up and glow in just normal room lighting but under case lighting, the color really begins to flex its muscles.

Impressive and quite beautiful specimen featuring a large, doubly terminated Calcite with green Fluorites on matrix!
Also with Dolomite along the back side, this is a lovely combination specimen the likes of which I haven't seen before.
The nearly 12 cm Calcite is perfectly doubly terminated with silky, lustrous surfaces. It it accompanied on both sides
and along the back side of the sparkling drusy covered matrix by gemmy green Fluorite cubes of a modified nature.
Some well defined Dolomite crystals are also present along the back side. In excellent condition with no detractions.

Impressive specimen featuring reddish-orange Vanadinite crystals measuring to 1.7 cm in size!
The surfaces are in excellent condition with a glassy luster with only a couple of tiny contacts that
do not detract. It's not often I find a cluster with such large crystals and deep color that is this good.

Tremendous specimen featuring fine, olive-green crystals of Chlorargyrite var. Bromian Chlorargyrite on Cerussite!
This is a MAJOR rarity that belongs in a very fine Native Silver or Australian Minerals collection. Formally called
Embolite, specimens of this rare Silver rich mineral are now called Bromian Chlorargyrite due to the presence
of Bromide. This fine specimen is the best example I've seen of this unusual combination and features a very rich
clustering of somewhat hoppered Chlorargyrite crystals sitting atop white Cerussite crystals measuring to 2.5 cm
in length. In excellent condition, this amazing combination piece dates back to the early 1900's or even earlier.
From Broken Hill, Yancowinna Co., New South Wales, Australia.

Large deep green Fluorite octahedrons in cluster!
A beautiful specimen from the Riemvasmaak locality in South Africa. The color is what
impresses but the surfaces are also very smooth and glassy which is top end for a Fluorite
from Riemvasmaak. As most probably know, the majority of these crystals are covered by
Quartz and this can affect the texture of the surfaces. In excellent condition with few contacts.

Beautiful combination piece featuring a gemmy Aquamarine with a pink Apatite crystal on Muscovite!
I love these combos but very rarely do I find a specimen in the marketplace that fits the quality I'm looking
for. The Aquamarine has to be gemmy and the Apatite must be complete with good color. Usually they are
found with broken edges and faded color. This specimen fits all the criteria I'm looking for and is the first of
these combos I've offered in years. It's in excellent condition and represents a rare opportunity for collectors.

Attractive cluster of yellowish-orange Wulfenite crystals in cluster!
This is an exceptional specimen and the condition of these fine Wulfenite blades is excellent.
The blades are glassy and transparent to translucent with a bright yellow coloration. Orange colored
Calcite crystals accent along the top edge and down the sides as well, creating a beautiful contrast of
colors. In excellent condition with only a couple of incomplete crystal blades which is pretty remarkable.
The Defiance Mine is outside the old Arizona ghost towns of Courtland and Gleeson. The mine is still visible.

Large display plate of Quartz var. Amethyst with Sphalerite and Chalcopyrite crystals!
A tremendous plate and one of the largest I've seen from the Creede, Colorado locality.
There's not a single contact or scuff anywhere on these Amethyst crystals and the tops are
perfect. The combination of yellowish-greenish-brown Sphalerite and Chalcopyrite crystals
with the Amethyst is a classic combination for Creede. Lots of luster and glassy surfaces
highlight this fine specimen which could easily be a centerpiece for a Colorado mineral suite.

Dramatic, large specimen featuring Calcite covered crystals spraying out atop white Calcitic matrix!
Easily one of the more impressive Calcites I've seen recently, the orange sprays appear to be Calcite crystal
covered stalactites and they jut outwards from the white matrix in all directions. The surfaces are very flashy
with a sparkling luster in even faint room lighting. I don't detect any detractions and the specimen makes a great
centerpiece for any collection and especially for a Calcite suite. The orange coloration is probably from Hematite.
