MIN#TUCSON2017-201 NEW!

Gorgeous specimen featuring gem golden Calcite crystals with Quartz var. Amethyst!
A wonderful combination piece which displays a cluster of golden Calcites with some of the sharpest,
most distinct phantoms I've seen in a long time. A sparkling micro-crystalline coating of Hematite sprays
outlines the earlier terminations which are now visible through the gemmy, glassy Calcite exteriors. This
cluster sits alongside a gemmy purple cluster of Amethyst crystals which display some of their own internal
phantoming. There are also two additional isolated Amethyst crystals atop the Calcites. In excellent condition.

From Ametista do Sul, Alto Uruguai region, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
Measures 9 cm by 11 cm by 7.2 cm in total size.

Aesthetic specimen featuring Amazonite crystals and Cleavelandite surrounded a large Smoky Quartz!
A beautiful combination specimen of turquoise-colored Amazonite and Smoky Quartz from Colorado.
Not only is this specimen very well balanced and super aesthetic, it's also one of the few you will ever
find that is completely unrepaired! This specimen is unrestored and unrepaired and nearly pristine.
The only contact I see is a natural one and it gets lost in the Cleavelandite. This is a great specimen!

Lustrous dendrites of Native Silver on Quartz matrix!
An exceptional example of fine herringbone crystal formation, not from Batopilas, but from
the San Genaro Mine. Brilliant luster rolls across the fine crystalline dendrites on both front
and back with a 2+ cm spinel twin shooting across the very top. This is easily one of the most
attractive small miniatures that I've seen from the San Genaro Mine. In excellent condition.

MIN#TUCSON2017-205 NEW!

Rare specimen featuring a large, gemmy, golden Barite crystal on Chalcopyrite matrix!
This is something of an oddity because I've never seen a golden Barite from this locality, especially
one with gemminess. Some brownish Barite specimens were found at this mine a couple years ago but
nothing of this quality and color that I know of. The Barite at top is very glassy and lustrous with good
transparency. It measures 3.6 cm in size and sits atop a matrix of coated Chalcopyrite crystals. No damage.

MIN#TUCSON2017-206 NEW!

Fine crystals of doubly terminated Calcite atop a light pink Danburite crystal!
Aesthetic specimen which is as much a Calcite specimen as a Danburite one. The Danburite is
well terminated with a gemmy tipped termination and very glassy surfaces. The Calcites attached to
both sides of the Dan burite are doubly terminated with the Calcite on the right side actually being
just one of a series of stacked Calcites which extend all the way down towards the bottom of the
pink Danburite. All the surfaces are highly lustrous and the specimen is in excellent condition.

Gorgeous specimen featuring zoned cubes of bluish-lavender Fluorite on Quartz matrix!
This is a fantastic specimen that display gemmy cubes of Fluorite in varying sizes, all of which
display a light interior zoning. The surfaces are extremely glassy and lustrous and all the Fluorite
crystals are complete with some natural etching around the lower edges. I love the way this specimen
has a center matrix shelf, separating the Fluorites into a top and bottom display and adding an attractive
sense of depth to the specimen. A small find of these appeared at the show and this was one of the best.

Tucson2016-178QuartzHuanggangMineChina18cm.jpg (219084 bytes)

MIN#TUCSON2017-215 NEW!

Spectacular cluster of Quartz var. Citrine crystals with Scepter tipped terminations!
This is an incredible display specimen and it can be displayed in a myriad of ways due to the
positioning of the large scepter-tipped crystals. One thing I want to point out is that this is not
a small specimen. It is borderline large cabinet with the main center crystal measuring nearly
18 cm in length. The crystals are included by a green mineral, probably Chlorite, along the lower
right edge, before changing over to a beautiful deep orange along their lengths. The crystals then
terminate with colorless scepters. The surfaces of the crystals are textured by hundreds of small
faces which reflect the light and create an intense sparkle. The scepters are smooth and glassy.
This is a superb Quartz specimen from a recent find and it is in excellent condition, top to bottom.

This amazing specimen is entirely composed of flattened crystals which formed
along a narrow seam in the host rock matrix. This imparted the specimen with
a thin, flattened appearance that is quite unique for a Michigan Copper specimen.

color runs up along the center, adding a pretty contrast to the patinaed surfaces.
