Spectacular
specimen of crystalline Native Gold rising up atop a base of white Quartz!
This is one beautiful specimen of Native Gold - definately
one of the finest from the show.
It measures over 9 cm in height so it's small cabinet in size and I can't stress
enough just how
incredibly bright and flashy the crystalline structure is, top to bottom! Dozens
and dozens of
flattened trigons are mixed with octahedrons, forming an arborescent structure
of golden
dendrites. Near the very bottom the gold becomes more semi-crystalline as seams
of Native
Gold pop in and out of the white Quartz matrix in this area. The contrast
between the brilliant
Gold crystals and Quartz is gorgeous and the entire specimen is covered with an
intense luster.
Locality: Eagle's Nest Mine, Placer
County, California.
Measures: 8.4 cm by 5 cm by 1.2 cm in total size.

small amount of Silver
mixed with the Gold. One of the most aesthetic Golds from a collection of
Oriental Mine specimens.

Stunning specimen of crystalline Native Gold on Quartz matrix!
What a gorgeous specimen! It's completely crystalline with
elongated dendritic crystal growth.
When the specimen was forming, a small seam probably opened in the Quartz and
allowed for
the development of the dramatic elongated crystals. The amazing thing is this
happened on both
the front and back side of the specimen! The flattened crystalline growth at the
tips is pure
trigon in structure, displaying beautiful patterns throughout. This specimen is
a wonder
to see under a 10X loupe! All the Gold surfaces are extremely bright and super
lustrous!
From the Eagle's Nest Mine, Placer
County, California.
Measures 5.3 cm by 7.5 cm by 1.6 cm in total size.

Very rich
specimen of Native
Gold on Quartz covered matrix!
This specimen is covered from one end to the other with fine crystalline
clusters of Native
Gold and is probably one of the richest specimens at the show in terms of
coverage. Under
magnification, you can see numerous fine crystals, mixed in with angular
patches of Gold
that were influenced in their structure by the surrounding Quartz crystals.
Impressive specimen!
This locality has been mined since the Romans and is literally full of
ancient mines with an open pit.
Locality: Rosia Montana (Verespatak), Alba County, Romania.
Measures: 5.8 cm by 4.5 cm by 2.7 cm in size.

Exceptional and rare specimen of
Native Leaf Gold in white Quartz matrix!
This is a MAJOR Gold specimen and of a quality seldom seen from the Oriental
Mine in
California. The Gold appears as brilliant layers of leaf Gold with crystals
present along
the edges of each seam. There are also flattened trigons apparent atop the
surfaces of
the leaf Gold so you could actually say that the entire specimen is crystalline!
The color
of the Gold is a super lustrous butter-yellow indicating a small Silver presence
in the mix.
(Orange would indicate Copper). Specimens of Gold from the Oriental in this size
range
are quite rare and specimens with this much Gold coverage are incredibly rare!
This fine
specimen represents a unique opportunity for Gold collectors and mineral
collectors alike!
Locality: Oriental Mine, Alleghany,
Forest District, Sierra County, California.
Measures: 6.8 cm by 6.3 cm by 5 cm in total size.

Superb specimen of Native Gold
crystals with white Quartz!
From a 2011 find, this specimen displays some of the sharpest and largest Gold
crystals I've seen from China.
The crystal cluster at the very top is supported by elongated crystals rising
upwards from a Quartz accented base.
Brilliant and super lustrous, this is a crystalline Gold specimen that will rank
with the finest from other localities.

Dazzling specimen of crystalline
Native Gold rising up from white Quartz matrix!
This is easily one of the finest, most graceful and aesthetic Golds I've ever
seen or offered! It is
totally crystalline in structure with dendrites, octahedrons, spinels, and more,
all situated around a
central towering spire of pure brilliance. Near the top, the specimen becomes
very arborescent and
takes on the appearance of a golden castle atop a mountain. The structure is an
amazing sight under
magnification and has enough going on to keep someone occupied for quite some
time. The surfaces
are super bright with a brilliant luster and flash from top the bottom. The
specimen could actually be
displayed from either side as both are attractive with an equal amount of white
Quartz at the base.
Locality: Eagle's Nest Mine, Placer
County, California.

Very rare
Native Gold nugget with Quartz from Virginia!
This lustrous nugget dates back to 1962 when it was collected by Mr. Mitchell.
The area was host to one of the first Gold rushes in the United States which
took place
all the way back to the late 1790's - early 1800's, long before the Dahlonega
discovery
and later California Gold rush. Specimens of this size are incredibly rare and
this is the first
I can remember offering on the website. Unique opportunity for Gold and locality
collectors!

Co., Virginia.

Brilliant specimen of
crystalline Native Gold perched high atop stark white Quartz matrix!
I love the presentation of this specimen. To me it resembles a golden cloud,
hovering atop a snowy
mountain peak. I don't often find Italian Golds that spark my interest but this
specimen caught my
eye at the show and I acquired it for the website. The Gold is brilliant with an
intense luster and the
cluster sits slightly elevated atop the matrix, giving the golden "cloud" the
appearance of floating
above the white Quartz surfaces. In excellent condition, this specimen is an eye
catcher in any cabinet.

Mirror-lustrous crystals of Sperrylite nestled in a concave nest of Pyrite and
Chalcopyrite!
Sperrylite is one of the world's great Platinum minerals in crystalline form and
specimens of quality and size, are incredibly rare.
This specimen displays numerous crystals of varying size and all are super
bright, lustrous, and sharp with mirror faces. The crystals
are well protected as they in the deepest portion of the concave structure and
take on the appearance of Platinum eggs sitting inside
a golden birdnest. In excellent condition with none of the usual cracking. I
cherry-picked this amazing specimen from several dozen.

crystallized Gold var. Electrum specimen!
This entire specimen is composed of crystals in all shapes
and sizes! There are even
some spinel-twins in the mix and thick wires that bend back towards the Quartz
matrix.
The luster is excellent and the color suggests a Silver content of at least 30%
or higher.
I love quality Electrums from Nevada and this is one of the finest I've seen
from the show.

VERY RARE!! Fine Native Gold crystals on
Quartz matrix from North Carolina!
This is a very impressive crystalline Gold specimen from the site of America's first gold
rush!
A rich scattering of fine Gold crystals is spread across the surface of this grainy Quartz
matrix.
I don't have an exact date for this specimen but I would estimate it dates back to the mid
to late
1800's. This would make a great addition to a type Gold or North Carolina mineral
collection.

Historical and very rare specimen of
Native Gold with Silver Sulfides on matrix from Nevada!
This cabinet sized plate is an amazing example of American and Nevada mining history. It's
from
the old mining district of Tonopah, Nevada which was the home to a huge Silver mining boom
in the
early 1900's. While Silver was the main ore discovered in Tonopah, there were also gold
deposits
although most were a bit further south in Goldfield. This specimen displays a large
Rhyolitic volcanic
plate, naturally seamed, into which flowed Native Gold. The Gold cooled to form
micro-crystalline
clusters. The close up photos display the front and right edge of the specimen which is
covered with
the brilliant precious metal. The Gold is mostly crystalline dendritic with some small
trigons, leaves,
and mesh also present. Gray Silver Sulfide is also present in the matrix but the Gold is
the main draw.
Specimens of this size with this much Gold coverage from Tonopah, Nevada are incredibly
rare today.
Circa 1910 - From the Tonopah District, San Antonio Mts, Nye
County, Nevada.
Measures 15.4 cm by 12.6 cm by 5.2 cm in total size.
