Exceptional combination of Beryl
var. Aquamarine perched atop Cassiterite!
Also with Muscovite, this is a superb Aquamarine combo and the aesthetics are
incredible.
The largest Aqua crystal measures nearly 7 cm in size and displays a lovely blue
coloration
along with glassy surfaces and a gemmy, transparent interior. It is accompanied
by several
smaller Aquamarines and fine Muscovite blades along the left edge. The
Aquamarine sits
aesthetically atop a super lustrous, black Cassiterite crystal measuring 3.6 cm
in size. The
combo is in excellent condition with the only contact being along the bottom
separation zone.
From Mt Xuebaoding, Pingwu Co., Mianyang
Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China.
Measures 7.5 cm by 5.5 cm by 4.7 cm in total size.

Elongated stalactites of
reddish-orange Calcite!
This fine specimen displays at least five terminated stalactites, measuring to
6.5 cm at the center. The tips are complete and well rounded and any incomplete
crystals are limited to the back side where the specimen was trimmed from its
host
matrix. The surfaces are slightly matted and the soft luster is subdued and
satiny.
From Alzada, Carter County, Montana.
Measures 6.7 cm by 3.8 cm by 3.1 cm in total size.

Rare! Traslucent green
octahedrons of Fluorite on white Quartz!
This is the first and only specimen of Fluorite I've seen from this rare
locality near Austin in
the great state of Nevada. I know Austin as a famous locality for Silver
minerals but this obscure
Fluorite find appeared in the marketplace a couple of decades ago and quickly
disappeared. There
are over half a dozen octahedrons of grassy-green Fluorite here, with the
largest of these measuring
right at 4.3 cm in size. They also exhibit a bluish-purple fluorescence under UV
lighting. Overall the
specimen sits well and is in very good condition with matted surfaces. Only 3
examples on mindat.org.
From a locality near Austin, Iowa Canyon District,
Lander Co., Nevada.
Measures 8.5 cm by 6.5 cm by 5.3 cm in total size.

Gorgeous crystals of gemmy
golden Calcite on reddish Sphalerite crystal covered matrix!
This is a Tri-State classic, featuring transparent golden Calcites, some with internal
phantoming. The crystals
are beautifully striated with a super glassy luster. The terminations are complete with
barely a contact anywhere.

Rare specimen featuring slightly
pink rhombs of brilliantly lustrous Calcite in cluster with Sphalerite and Quartz!
This is a difficult locality to collect because very few Calcites appear in the
marketplace. This specimen probably
dates back to the 1960's or earlier. The largest rhombs are penetrating and almost appear
to be twins. The crystal
in the center measures nearly 7 cm in size! In excellent condition with a wet, almost waxy
looking surface luster.

Gorgeous golden Fluorite with color
zoning surrounding Sphalerite and Calcite crystals!
A beautiful combination to say the least. This fine
Fluorite has a rich, bright golden coloration with
lavender zoning on many of the gemmy cubes. It surrounds a large Sphalerite in the center
and hosts
a smaller Sphalerite crystal near the top. The larger Sphalerite is accenting by doubly
terminated,
light yellow Calcite crystals. In very good condition overall with only trimming edge
contacting.

Hardin Co., Illinois.

Fine specimen featuring Silver ps after
Dycrasite!
This specimen caught my eye at the show because it looked so much like a Chlorargyrite
in form, texture, and color. It's actually Silver pseudomorphing Dycrasite crystals and
one
of the most unique specimens of this material that I've seen. The display side crystals
are
short and flat-topped with a slight texture. These rise upwards from a matrix consisting
of
dendritic Silver crystals, imparting the specimen with a two sided personality. There's a
really
neat vug near the right side which is completely lined with crystals. This is one of my
favorites.

Republic.

Super fine specimen of crystalline Native
Silver with white Calcite!

aesthetic
and the sharp crystal dendrites are some of the best I've seen recently from this classic
locality.

Tri-State Classic featuring gorgeous
crystals of deep golden Calcite on Chert matrix!
This is one of the finest Tri-State Calcites
that I've ever offered. The crystals are gemmy with
some of the best golden color you'll ever see from this classic mining district. Their
color is more
in line with something you'd see coming from the Elmwood Mine! I love the way three
distinct
crystals habits appear on the same matrix, with the largest crystal in the back being
doubly
terminated. It measures 7.5 cm in length and it as clear as glass near the tips and along
the
upper edge. I can read the label card through the interior of the crystal! In excellent
condition
with no damage to speak of - this specimen is incredibly well preserved considering its
age.

Glassy crystals of translucent Cerussite with sharp reflective faces and a

hoppering
along the edges. They sit atop a matrix of pinkish Barite blades with burnt
orange accenting.

Fine radial clusters of
Pseudomalachite with Dioptase on tan matrix!
These fine clusters are lustrous and reflect the
light along the length of their radial
structures, creating an intense rolling flash. The color of the Pseudomalachite is an
Emerald-green and there is translucency along the edges of each cluster. In
excellent
condition with some small crystals of Dioptase and Quartz scattered about the matrix.

Aesthetic specimen featuring Native
Copper crystals sitting atop matrix!
This is a borderline large cabinet sized
specimen and it is incredibly attractive in both form and color!
The specimen is very crystalline and the majority of the surfaces are reddish in color,
indicating the
presence of micro-Cuprite. I love the way the Native Copper climbs the matrix and rises
upwards above
it near the center point. The overall visual impact is striking and very sculptural. The
fine coating of
Cuprite also means the color will remain constant and remain reddish-brown. This is a
specimen that
could actually be displayed from either side. If you turn the specimen around, you have
the appearance
of Native Copper crystals perched atop matrix. I prefer the side shown in the photograph
however.

Scarce specimen of lustrous
Allargentum crystals on sparkling matrix!
Allargentum is a Silver-Antimony mineral
which isn't seen as often as I would like.
This specimen features lustrous, distinct crystals which show well against the drusy-like
matrix. Some of the crystal faces appear "etched" but I think this is only
matrix influence.

Very rare combination featuring
Argentite ps. after Galena with Realgar and Xanthoconite crystals on Barite!
Xanthoconite is a rare Silver Arsenic Sulfide (Ag3AsS3).
These rare specimens came to market years ago and
only a few good ones were available at that time. They've long since disappeared and I
haven't seen one in
almost a decade. The Xanthoconite can be seen scattered about atop the Barite blades near
the Argentite
which has completely pseudomorphed and taken on the habit of the Galena cubes. Red
Proustite crystals
are also present on this unique Silver specimen, displaying a close association with the
Xanthoconite.

Aesthetic combination of
Golden Fluorite cubes with two crystal clusters of pinkish-white Barite blades!
I found two of these beautiful combo plates (the
other appears in the first showroom) and both exhibited
the really neat Barite clusters. The Barite is covered ever so slightly by a
pinkish Hematite accenting and
the Fluorite cubes are pure golden and transparent with a strong rolling surface
luster. In excellent condition.

Lovely specimen featuring a
colorless Fluorite sitting atop yellow Quartz crystals!
This is a specimen that is both attractive and interesting since both the
Fluorite and

stepped,
lustrous crystals faces. The Fluorites are transparent and crystal-clear with
complete
faces on all sides. Even the back side is complete with just a hint of etching.
