MIN#Tucson2023-155 NEW!

Wonderful cluster of sharp, dogtoothed Calcite crystals with Selenite on matrix!
This is a really neat combination and the specimen is in near perfect condition. I don't detect any
damage to the sharply terminated dogtooth crystals. There is a light sprinkling of Selenite atop
many of the crystals and a pair of larger Selenite crystal clusters along the front side. The Calcite
crystals are highly lustrous with a tan -brown coloration. I really like the way the specimen takes
on the appearance of cluster mounds with the center being the highest point. You don't see many
specimens of this quality from Santa Eulalia anymore. This specimen was mined in the late 1960s.
From the Santa Eulalia District, Mun. de Aquiles Serdán, Chihuahua, Mexico.

MIN#Tucson2023-172 NEW!

Aethetic "rabbit ears" Calcite crystals on matrix with smaller Calcites!
This is a unique specimen from the famous Charcas locality and I've not seen another one like it
in two decades worth of mineral shows. On either side of the matrix are elongated, tabular-like crystals
of white Calcite measuring close to 7.5 cm and 8 cm in size. While the Calcite on the right is glassy and
translucent, the Calcite on the left is included by white poker-chip style Calcite crystals, which by the way,
can also be seen near the upper middle portion between the "rabbit ears". This is an interesting specimen
to say the least and the combination of Calcite habits is eye catching. In excellent condition with few contacts.
