Gorgeous
cluster of cherry-red Rhodochrosite rhombs with golden Pyrite!
This incredible plate of eye candy is from the new workings at the Sweet Home
Mine. Of all the material that has been
discovered to date, very few have the color and gemminess of this fine piece.
The surfaces of the rhombs, and there are a
dozen of them in the cluster, are glassy. The interiors are gem with the depth of
color and radiance that the Sweet Home is
renowned for. The larger rhomb in the center measures 3 cm in size and there is
an accenting of golden Pyrite along the
base of the matrix. The matrix is a mix of Tetrahedrite and Quartz with Pyrite
crystals. One of the best I've seen!

Gorgeous
combination of cherry-red Rhodochrosite rhombs set among yellow Calcites and
purple Fluorite
with Quartz!
This incredible plate of eye candy is from the new workings at the Sweet Home
Mine. Of all the material that has been
discovered to date, very few have the color and gemminess of the large Rhodo
rhomb on this plate.
The surfaces are
glassy with brilliant interiors displaying the depth of
color and radiance that the Sweet Home Mine is
renowned for.
The large rhomb at top measures 3 cm in size. It sits surrounded by one of the
most impressive arrangements of yellow
scalenohedral Calcite crystals that I've ever seen from the Sweet Home. A
scattering of purple Fluorite cubes and
colorless Quartz needle clusters cover the plate top to bottom. In
excellent condition and absolutely spectacular!

Sphalerite!
This incredible plate of eye candy is from the new workings at the Sweet Home
Mine. Of all the material that has been
discovered to date, very few have the color and gemminess of this fine piece.
The color of the rhombs in excellent
and the surfaces are glassy. The interiors are gem with the depth of
color and radiance that the Sweet Home locality
is renowned for. The larger rhomb in the center measures 3 cm in size and
the second rhomb measures 2.7 cm in size.
Both are complete all around with some matrix modification on the backside. In
excellent condition with no damage.

with Fluorite and Pyrite accents!
This specimen has a little of almost everything from the Wutong Mine. The
Rhodochrosite appears
as actual rhombs and they are well formed and complete with few contacts. The
gemmy light Purple
Fluorite sit atop the matrix and tiny golden Pyrite crystals are sprinkled along
the front matrix edge.

specimen featuring a Calcite ball tucked inside a Rhodochrosite lined matrix vug!
Rhodochrosite from Michigan is quite rare but a specimen that opens up
into a see-through vug, lined with Rhodo crystals,
with a yellow Calcite sphere as well is quite incredible. The vug is open on the
back side and allows light to stream through.

This is a lovely Greek Rhodochrosite. The surfaces display a breathtaking
arrangement of highly lustrous, pastel
colored pillars of Rhodochrosite. Under higher magnification, the pillars
appears to be stacked rhombs, rising as
much as 1 cm above the surface. The specimen is free of contacts and is in
excellent condition and nearly pristine.
