Layered specimen featuring orange
Cadmium Smithsonite over silver Smithsonite!
Beneath the silver colored Smithsonite is a layer of
sea-green Smithsonite, visible
at the bottom trimming edge. The surfaces are botryoidal and extremely lustrous!
Nearly pristine with no major contacts. The Cadmium orange allows the silver to peak
through in a few scattered spots, adding a wonderful contrast to the brilliant surfaces.
From Choix, Mun. de Choix, Sinaloa, Mexico.
Measures 10 cm by 6.8 cm by 5 cm in total size.

Lovely specimen of lavender-pink
Smithsonite on matrix!
This is a small cabinet sized specimen featuring
botryoidal surfaces and small
"finger-like" formations near the top. The Smithsonite covers the entire matrix,
both front and back. A lustrous, pearly sheen rolls across the reflective surfaces.
From Choix, Mun. de Choix, Sinaloa, Mexico.
Measures 7.2 cm by 11 cm by 9 cm in total size.

Lustrous, silvery-gray crystal cluster
of Stephanite with Calcite on matrix!
VERY impressive example of this late stage Silver
Antimony Sulfosalt which is roughly
about 69% Silver by formula. The crystals appear as flattened hexagonal tables with
an obvious twin visible in the photo on the far left side of the cluster. Crude
looking
dogtooth Calcite crystals surround the cluster and cover most of the host rock matrix.
From the Doloras Mine, Real del Monte, Hidalgo, Mexico.
Measures 5 cm by 4.8 cm by 4 cm in total size.

Lovely, phantomed Calcite twin on
smaller phantomed Calcites!
The individual Calcite crystals are all terminated
with glassy surfaces and darker brown
phantoms. The specimen is nearly flawless with only a minor chip on the right side
Calcite.

China.
Measures 5.2 cm by 3.8 cm in size.

VERY RARE! Galena crystals in
stalactite form from Creede, Colorado!
This is a true rarity from the Creede District and
the first I've ever offered on the
website. It is a stalactite consisting entirely of small Galena cubes which climb one
another all the way to the top of the formation. The cubes are sharp and lustrous and
there is some indication at the top that the stalactite may be hollow or partially hollow.
From the Creede Mining District, Creede, Mineral County,
Colorado.
Measures 8.3 cm by 2.8 cm by m in total size.

Bi-color specimen of green and pink
Fluorite crystals with Pyrite!
Beautiful cluster displaying blushes of both colors throughout. The
Fluorite faces are
glassy and the crystals are well defined octahedral. The Pyrite cubes accent both sides.
From Huanzala, Dos
de Mayo Province, Huanuco Department, Peru
Measures 3.7 cm by 5 cm in size.

Terminated blade of Wolframite on Quartz
points with Fluorite, Dolomite, and Muscovite!
The Wolframite blade has two irregular terminations - actually natural breaks that
rehealed in the mine. Both are partially covered with Muscovite and Dolomite crystals.
From the Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan Province of China.
Measures 6.7 cm by 4.2 cm by 5.2 cm in size.

Flashy specimen featuring glassy
reddish-orange Vanadinite crystals on spotted matrix!
Pretty much every crystal is in pristine condition and all are upright standing which
always
creates the best overall appearance I think. The spots are nice and may be Psilomelane.
From Mibladen, Meknes-Tafilalet Region, Morocco.
Measures 10 cm by 10 cm by 4.6 cm in size.

RARE! Golden dendritics of Nickeline
with Acanthite in host matrix from Cobalt!
This is one impressive mineral plate and is eye
candy for a Silver collector like myself. The Acanthite
crystals are the more angular gray crystals on the right side of the plate while
the Nickeline portion
appears as golden dendrites on the left side of the plate. Nickeline was once confused for
a Copper
ore and was actually called Copper Nickel (kupfernickel) by German miners in the 19th
century.
However it's actually a mixture of Nickel and Arsenic (NiAs) and contains no Copper or
Silver.
It's a scarcer mineral from the Cobalt region and frequently appears with Acanthite or
Silver ore.
There's an old $25.00 price label on the bottom side of the specimen with the collection
number 245.
This is one of the most impressive plates I've seen in terms of both size and aesthetics.
Circa early 1900's - From the Cobalt area, Cobalt-Gowganda
region, Timiskaming District, Ontario, Canada.
Measures 8.2 cm by 17.4 cm by 2.1 cm in size. Quite heavy as well!

Fine botryoidal Malachite over Cuprite
from Mexico!
This is an old classic that actually features two
distinct forms of Malachite atop a thick seam
of reddish-brown Cuprite. The center Malachite is a druse form with dark green coloration
and
a dazzling, sparkling botryoidal surface. This Malachite gives way at the edges to a
lighter color
zone that ranges from satiny to powdery in appearance. The specimen is loaded with eye
appeal
and very aesthetic. I would rate this as one of the finest I've seen in quite some time
from Mapimi.
From Mapimi, Durango, Mexico.
Measures 9.6 cm by 5.3 cm by 5 cm in total size.

Fine specimen featuring
raspberry-purple Fluorite cubes on Sphalerite!
From the Elmwood Mine, this specimen displays a
gemmy raspberry coloration with
slighter darker phantoms just beneath the surface of each cube. I only see one contact
of note and it is hidden away on the backside of the specimen. The crystals on the far
left edge are not damaged but are instead etched, displaying a somewhat triangular form
with multiple stepped faces. This etched formation is often encountered in Elmwood
Fluorites and it adds a nice contrast to the more common cubic cystals. The
Sphalerite
matrix is highly lustrous and clean with glassy smooth crystal surfaces and no contacts.
From the Elmwood Mine, Smith County, Tennessee.
Measures 6.8 cm by 7.2 cm by 4.7 cm in total size.
Price $585

Fine crystals of olive-green Epidote
perched atop a cast matrix!
Glassy and quite lustrous fan shaped Epidote
crystals set along the top side of a concave
cast matrix. The Epidotes are in excellent condition with no visual detractions and the
matrix
beneath gives the surface a mounded appearance due to the underlying form. Between the
Epidote
crystals are lighter colored patchs of what appears to be Uralite sprays. This plate
really sparkles.
From Imilchil, Er Rachidia Province, Meknčs-Tafilalet
Region, Morocco.
Measures 13.3 cm by 12.6 cm by 4.3 cm in total size.

Large, impressive crystal of Pyrite
set among Quartz on matrix!
This is a Pyrite octahedron and it measures nearly 4
cm in size. It's one of the best Pyrites I've seen
in years from Butte, Montana and it's in very good condition as well. The above photo
shows what
appears to be cracks in the main Pyrite but these are very tiny stress lines that have
been magnified
by the camera. In person, they are practically invisible and get lost among the intense
luster on the
crystal faces. The main Pyrite is very study and I only detect a single small contact on
the backside.
From Butte, Silver Bow County, Montana.
Measures 4.5 cm by 6.8 cm by 5.4 cm in total size.
