MIN#Keystone-5

Attractive old classic displaying a frosted Calcite crystal on Chert matrix!
This is a specimen both a geologist and mineral collector could love because of the way it displays the frosted
and doubly terminated Calcite crystal set at an angle against the two sections of Chert matrix. This specimen
came of the Tri-State District Mines in the 1930's - 40's and has more character than most of what I see from
this region. I love the deep golden Calcite interiors which peak through at the perfect upper termination. The
white frosting is most likely an inclusion and it imparts a two-toned appearance to the Calcite that is very nice.

MIN#Keystone-9

Lustrous plate of yellow Pyromorphite crystals standing vertically atop matrix!
This is the largest plate of Pyromorphite that I've seen from this very old locality. It dates back
to the Lead mining conducted here by the Romans and many old masonry walls and arches are
still present at the site. This plate displays hundreds of free standing crystals and is in excellent
condition with few contacts. The crystals are mostly lustrous yellow with just a touch of green
and they completely cover a plate which when turned around, displays a back side covered in
Quartz crystals. The specimen is very well trimmed and displays well from numerous angles.

MIN#Keystone-20 Sold!

Super glassy crystals of deep blue Azurite with green Malachite sprays on matrix!
This is a screamer of an Azurite specimen if you appreciate chisel-perfect and highly lustrous
Azurite crystals. I won't make the comparison of these Azurites with those of Milpillas because
the look is somewhat different but they are every bit as impressive to me. The largest of these
freestanding Azurite crystals measures 2 cm in size and they were obviously well protected by the
concave pocket in which they formed because all are pristine, save for a couple of small ones
that touched matrix. This is a specimen that must be seen to be fully appreciated. The picture is
good but the specimen itself is many times better in person. The crystal luster is mind blowing.

MIN#Keystone-26

Rare specimen of Calcite crystals in cluster perched atop Marcasite matrix!
This is the first specimen I've offered from the Cadjebut Mine and they are anything but common. Most
specimens came to market about 20 years ago in the mid 1990's and quickly disappeared into private
collections. Mindat.org only has a few specimens pictured and this piece is far superior to all of those.
There are about a dozen crystals here, all well striated and lustrous with excellent transparency. They
also display a light golden coloration. The Calcite sit atop a matrix of lustrous Marcasite crystals which
is another mineral this locality is known for. All in all, in great condition with only a few minor contacts.

Unique specimen of pillar-formed Apatite crystals with dendrites!
This is an odd yet very lovely specimen of white Apatite crystals that look more like cave

shaped dendrite along the front of the largest crystal is pretty aesthetic. The surfaces of
the crystals is a satiny, matted white for the most part and I have to wonder if some sort of
pseudomorphing is going on here. Whatever the case, this is certainly an attention grabber.
