Exceptionally
beautiful Native Wire Silver with Calcite and Quartz from Kongsberg!
What an incredibly aesthetic specimen of Native Wire Silver this is, featuring
Silver wires growing upwards
from a base of Calcite and Quartz crystals. The main wire penetrates a Calcite
rhomb before turning to
the left where a second smaller Calcite is present. It then continues upwards
and penetrates a third rhomb
before finally exiting along the upper right edge. The sculptural appearance of
this specimen is what drew
me to the piece and I am amazed by it every time I examine it closer. Native
Wire Silvers with Calcite
are the Kongsberg holy grails for collectors. This fine specimen checks all the
boxes and comes with an
excellent provenance as well. It's in perfect condition and would make a superb
addition to the finest cabinet.

Impressive
plate featuring numerous Benitoite crystals on a bed of white Natrolite!
There are over a dozen Benitoite crystals on this plate with lots of blue gem to
explore
if
you're a stone cutter. I prefer the specimen to remain as is however. The crystals exhibit
a strong satiny luster and measure to 2 cm in size. There are in excellent condition save
for
a couple of small contacts near the trim edge that get lost without the aid of
magnification.
Benitoite plates of this magnitude are few and far between in the marketplace today so
this
represents a rare opportunity if you need a fine small cabinet sized plate for your
collection.

Amazing
specimen featuring gemmy Golden Calcite crystals inside a fossilized clam shell
(Mercenaria Permagna)!
These specimens formed from old clam shells which were buried many years ago,
allowing the Calcium to transform
and grow into Calcite crystals over time. As the Calcite crystals grew, the
Calcium was taken from the outer shell
which caused it to dissolve as the transformation took place. Specimens of this
quality with complete shells are very rare.

Easily some of the finest Azurites to ever come to market, the Milpillas find
has been one for the record books.
These crystals display mind blowing luster and glow under direct lighting. The
terminations are complete and the contacts
are very few and trivial. This is one of the things I always check for in a
Milpillas specimen because so many have broken
tips. The largest crystal here is around 2 cm in length and every crystal is
incredibly sharp and unbelievably lustrous. One
might even describe the luster as blinding. At the very top is a spray of white

Large cabinet specimen of Native Sulfur
crystals on Aragonite inside a drill core!
These are fascinating pieces and this is probably the largest example I've
seen and may be the
first I've offered on the website. The cores come from deep drilling and
often given as gifts by
mining or oil companies to dignitaries or retiring executives. This is the
most impressive core
I've seen in terms of its size and coverage of Sulfur crystals. Most of the
crystals were protected
by the concave nature of the pocket and they exhibit glassy faces with a
good amount of surface
luster. The surrounding Aragonite crystals are sharp and make for the
perfect backdrop. Very nice!
