Incredibly
rare
specimen featuring a Calcite ball tucked inside a Rhodochrosite lined matrix vug!
Rhodochrosite from Michigan is quite rare but a specimen that opens up
into a see-through vug, lined with Rhodo crystals,
with a yellow Calcite sphere as well is quite incredible. The vug is open on the
back side and allows light to stream through.
This seldom seen specimen is from the Cannon Mine,
Stambaugh, Menominee Iron Range, Iron County, Michigan.

Wonderful cluster of sharp, dogtoothed
Calcite crystals with Selenite on matrix!
This is a really neat combination and the
specimen is in near perfect condition. I don't detect any
damage to the sharply terminated dogtooth crystals. There is a light sprinkling of
Selenite atop
many of the crystals and a pair of larger Selenite crystal clusters along the front side.
The Calcite
crystals are highly lustrous with a tan -brown coloration. I really like the way the
specimen takes
on the appearance of cluster mounds with the center being the highest point. You don't see
many
specimens of this quality from Santa Eulalia anymore. This specimen was mined in the late
1960s.
From the Santa Eulalia District, Mun. de Aquiles Serdán,
Chihuahua, Mexico.

Super
rich plate featuring
lustrous, incredibly distinctive dendrites of Native Silver in matrix!
The brilliant Silver dendrites sit inside a surface matrix of Acanthite and
Quartz over a base matrix of Greenstone.
The large moonstone-like crystal seen along the far right is quite
interesting and the Silver dendrites are so pronounced
that they almost appear to be almost luminescent against the dark matrix. The
surface of the matrix has been carefully
etched using a process that makes the Silver dendrites raised in relief against
the surrounding surfaces. Very unique!

Exceptional specimen of Azurite and
Malachite ps. after Azurite crystals on matrix!
This cabinet sized specimen is literally the side of a vug, with terminated
Azurite crystals, partially pseudomorphing
to Malachite, measuring to nearly 4 cm in size. The contrast between the two is
stunning and is what attracted me
to this specimen! The surface of the Malachite is very chatoyant and satiny
while the Azurite crystals display a rich
glassy blue color at the corners and edges. In excellent condition with few
contacts and a rich, vibrant brilliance.

count about a dozen freestanding crystals filling the vug. I've never seen another piece

Large, SUPER LUSTROUS crystals of
Ferberite with Quartz and Pyrite!
This is one "black ugly" that's pretty darn attractive. These intensely
lustrous, well striated
Ferberite crystals are clustered together as terminated blades of varying sizes. Between
the two
layers of Ferberites, there are a scattering of Quartz points and Pyrite cubes. This
really makes
the darker Ferberite crystals pop. The terminations are slanted, chisel-like tips and the
entire
specimen is in great condition with only minor contacts. The far right side shows matrix
influence.
