Exceptional
specimen of Native Wire Silver with Calcite crystals from Schneeberg, Germany!
A true rarity with a structure that resembles Silvers from Freiberg but rarer
with an association of Calcite crystals.
I can't recall seeing anything of this dramatic style from Schneeberg since most
specimens from here tend to consist
of shorter, squatty wires. These study wires rise up from a base which features
several Calcite crystals and a gray
accenting of Acanthite drusy. The aesthetics are superb and for a specimen in
the small cab size range, very impressive.
Locality: Schneeberg,
Erzgebirgskreis, Saxony, Germany.
Measures: 6.3 cm by 5 cm by 2.4 cm in size.

Gorgeous combination specimen featuring a glowing Pink Kunzite crystal perched

against the colorless Microcline crystal base. The gemmy tipped olive-green
Tourmaline stands vertically in the center and rises up and
out of the large terminated Quartz crystal along the top left side. Purple
Lepidolite accents the very bottom of the specimen in addition
to the recess between the Kunzite and Tourmaline with a perfect, final touch of
color. This is a true centerpiece. In excellent condition.

the stacked Quartz features on
the top left side of the specimen. Really unique and bizarre specimen. In

Fascinating
specimen featuring a pink Morganite crystal nestled between several Lepidolite
formations on Microcline!
I've not seen another combination like this from Brazil. What appears to be
Calcite crystals are actually clusters of
dark purple Lepidolite surrounding the Morganite. My first though is that they
are pseudomorphing the original
dogtooth Calcites that have been completely replaced by the Lepidolite. The form
is correct but this one leaves
me wondering. The Morganite crystal is perfect and quite lovely with a pink
coloration and glassy surfaces free
of any serious etching. The aesthetics of this odd combo piece are superb and
there is no damage to speak of.

Rare and very
beautiful combination of silverish-gray Calcite crystals with golden Pyrite
pyritohedrons!
This Calcite specimen is from a very small collection of Colombian Calcites
which were actually saved from destruction
due to their quality and aesthetics. Most Calcites from this locale are
destroyed during the mining process for prized
Emerald crystals and very few survive. This one is in excellent condition with
dozens of lustrous, translucent Calcites
and over a dozen mirror-brilliant Pyrite crystals. The Pyrites measures to 3 cm
in size and are blindingly reflective.

Classic old
style Fluorite with Anglesite and Galena on orange Quartz from New Mexico!
This variety of large cubes of blue to sea-greenish blue Fluorites came out of
the Blanchard Mine in the 1970s-80s.
They rarely appear at the shows and this older collection piece was the first of
its kind I've seen in years. I acquired it
for the website as soon as I saw it. It's cabinet sized and in excellent
condition. I can't guess when another will come along.

Large,
lustrous Calcite crystal set atop green Celadonite covered matrix!
One of the largest Calcites I brought home from the show this year. this complex
rhomb measures 10 cm across
the axis. There appears to be another large Calcite emerging from the left side
but I'm not certain if this is an
enveloped twin or an addition to the original structure. Either way, it's a
fascinating specimen. In pristine condition.

Flashy
specimen of brilliant
orange crystals of Orpiment on matrix!
This is a great looking specimen from the famous Nevada find. The crystals are
highly lustrous and in excellent condition.
Outside of the normal incompleteness along the trimming edge, I only see a
couple of tiny contacts on the main body of
the specimen. The sharp crystals are bright orange and display a good amount of
translucency. They cantilever outwards
from the dark matrix beneath along the right side, creating a very dramatic and
3-dimensional display. Very well trimmed.
