Spectacular large plate of Precious
Black Seam Opal on Sandstone matrix!
This seam of semi-polished Precious Opal displays brilliant flashes of every
color imaginable. Reds, blues, greens,
yellows, oranges, pinks, and purple with an intensity one rarely sees in an
uncut specimen. Actually, Mintabie Opals
display shades of gray and black and such is the case with this specimen.
Mintabie was a short lived discovery in 1978
that quickly played out and specimens of this size and quality are exceedingly
rare. This is a true prize for a gem collector.
Locality: Mintabie, North West
Province, South Australia, Australia.
Measures: 9.7 cm by 14.3 cm by 5.4 cm in total size.

Exceptional specimen of Acanthite
xls with Polybasite and Calcite on Ankerite covered matrix!
This very aesthetic specimen is rich with both contrast and Silver minerals! The
Acanthites
are a lustrous gray as are the Polybasites. The small Calcite crystals are
colorless and really
pop against the darker Silver minerals. The rounded Acanthite crystals branch
out and form
an arrangement which reminds one of Argentite. The largest average around 1 cm
in size.
Locality: Fresnillo, Zacatecas,
Mexico.
Measures: 8.2 cm by 4.3 cm by 3 cm in size.

Exquisite
example of
fine, olive-green crystals of Chlorargyrite var. Bromian Chlorargyrite!
This is a MAJOR rarity that belongs in a very fine Native Silver or Australian
Minerals collection. Formally
called Embolite, specimens of this rare Silver rich mineral are now called
Bromian Chlorargyrite due to the presence
of Bromide. This fine specimen is the best example I've seen of this Silver
mineral in years and features a very rich
clustering of lustrous Chlorargyrite crystals which display some of the richest
color you'll ever see, indicating very
little light exposure. In a state of excellent preservation, this amazing piece
dates back to the early 1900's or earlier.
Locality: Broken Hill, Yancowinna
Co., New South Wales, Australia.
Measures: 6.7 cm by 5 cm by 3 cm in size.

the prettiest patinas I've seen in a long time on a Michigan Copper specimen.

termination. Smaller Emeralds sit on
both sides of this lustrous crystal forming a cluster atop the stark white

Gorgeous, large Morganite crystal
set atop Albite matrix with Quartz, Muscovite, and Indicolite Tourmaline!
A specimen that is simply beautiful. The Morganite crystal in the middle is a
gemmy deep pink and complete on all sides.
It is accompanied by a smaller Morganite on the back side along with a Kunzite
crystal. Thin, gemmy Indicolite crystals
lay atop the golden Muscovite blades that frame the 6.5 cm Morganite along the
lower right edge. To the left are large,
slightly smoky Quartz crystal points and it is these that the Morganite sits
atop. This was one of the finest Morganites
at the show this year and I love the association. In excellent condition with
glassy pink interiors and only trivial contacts.

Province, Afghanistan.

Gorgeous
specimen of pink Kunzite and Quartz with green Tourmaline on Cleavelandite!
I haven't seen a specimen with these aesthetics in at least a decade so it
was surprising when I found it in Tucson. The specimen
is very artistic with the Kunzite leaning away from a Smoky-ish Quartz crystal
of matching size. The Cleavelandite blades which are
accented by green Tourmaline crystals, fill the center space between the two and
adds a perfect color contrast. In excellent condition.

combo.

Exceptional specimen featuring a pristine, gemmy Calcite sitting alongside a
Hematite crystal!
A beautiful combination that is both aesthetic and nearly pristine. The
transparent Calcite at top measures
4.7 cm in size. It sits next to a perfectly terminated, nearly 2 cm tall
Hematite crystal with mirror-lustrous
faces on all side. A couple of smaller Calcite crystals are also present and all
are sitting atop a matrix
covered by super flashy Hematite crystals. In excellent condition with no damage
to speak of. There is
a slight matrix influence irregularity on a backside Calcite face but this does
not detract. Simply superb!

a rolling surface luster atop
every face. I can't find one negative thing to say about this classic

Very rich
specimen of Native
Gold on Quartz covered matrix!
This specimen is covered from one end to the other with fine crystalline
clusters of Native
Gold and is probably one of the richest specimens at the show in terms of
coverage. Under
magnification, you can see numerous fine crystals, mixed in with angular
patches of Gold
that were influenced in their structure by the surrounding Quartz crystals.
Impressive specimen!
This locality has been mined since the Romans and is literally full of
ancient mines with an open pit.

Exceptionally
lustrous cluster of Tetrahedrite crystals with pink Rhodochrosite and Quartz
accents!
The large mirror-bright Tetrahedrite crystals are super sharp and reflective.
They measure to 3 cm in size
and cover the entire surface of the specimen. Small crystal bladed balls of pink
Rhodochrosite are scattered
about along with tiny Quartz crystals. For what some refer to as a "black ugly",
this specimen has great eye appeal!

flowers at the top of their stems. In pristine condition with barely a contact,
this is truly a superb piece.

Large crystals
of Pink Calcite crystals included by Native Copper and Native Copper extrusions!
Some of the largest Calcite crystals I've seen from Michigan with a doubly
terminated Calcite measuring
8.5 cm along the left side of the cluster. Native Copper inclusions color the
crystals a bright reddish-pink
with lighter portions in the crystal along the upper right. Native Copper
appears between the Calcites and
atop the Calcites in the cluster. The luster is glassy and the crystals are
scuff free. Very fine specimen!

Absolutely gorgeous specimen
featuring a cluster of gemmy, purple zoned, lavender Fluorite cubes set
alongisde Quartz crystals!
This is a specimen with a lot of wow factor and it is as close to perfect as
I've seen in a long time. The lavender Fluorites display
modified edges and they are all super glassy and lustrous with transparency all
the way down to their purple phantomed cores.
The three main Quartz points that rise above the Fluorite cluster to the right
are all terminated and clear with the tallest Quartz
actually displaying a small Fluorite included inside its tip! With flash and
sparkle and Pyrite accents, this is a true centerpiece.
