Beautifully
aesthetic crystals of yellow Calcite atop blue Fluorite!
This is a true lovely from the famous Illinois Fluorspar mines. These
glassy-lustrous Calcites measure
up to nearly 3 cm in length and all are complete with gemmy golden tips. The
Calcite crystals rise up from
a base of blue and lavender Fluorite. Virtually pristine and one of my favorite
Illinois pieces from the show.

Creek Sub-District, Hardin Co., Illinois.

numerous Calcite crystals perched atop light pink Quartz on sparkling brown
Hematite matrix.

Classic old time Colorado mix of
Galena cubes with tan Siderite on Sphalerite matrix!
One of the best combo specimens I've found in a long time
from the Eagle Mine in the Gilman
Mining District, Eagle County, Colorado. The Siderite crystals are sharp and
distinct with no
damage to speak of. The Galena cubes are matted but some have mirror-like faces
as well.

County, Colorado.

Very impressive
specimen featuring large Galena octahedrons on Quartz from Colorado!
I don't think I've seen a specimen with larger crystals from this locality outside of a
museum.
The largest modified Galena crystal measures 6 cm in size and the others are of a similar
size.
This would rate as one of the most impressive Colorado Galena specimens I've ever come
across.
From the New Jersey Zinc Eagle Mine (Gilman Mine), Gilman, Gilman District, Eagle Co.,
Colorado.

Glassy crystals of golden-yellow
Calcite atop matrix from Illinois!
This is a high quality plate featuring the most gemmy, transparent Calcites I've
ever seen from the Gaskins Mine.
The Gaskins Mine is a rarer locality for Fluorite and Calcite. These crystals
are gemmy all the way to the matrix
and are very lustrous with sharp crystal faces and reflectivity. The largest
Calcite in the center measures 4.5 cm
in size and the specimen is in excellent condition with barely a contact
anywhere. It also stands upright by itself.
From the Gaskins Mine, Empire Sub-District, Pope County,
Illinois.
Measures 8.2 cm by 9.2 cm by 6 cm in total size.

Lovely and quite
sculptural cluster of Native Copper wires atop Malachite covered Native Copper!
This is about as good as Copper wires get
from the White Pine Mine in Michigan, which closed in 1995.
The wires are firm and stable as they twist and wind around one another, forming
a wire cluster that stretches
upwards atop the greenish Malachite covered Copper which serves as a base below.
Very unique and aesthetic!

Michigan.

numerous terminated crystals of white Celestine, standing upright atop the
bright yellow Sulfur
matrix. The crystals are in excellent condition with smooth tips and glassy
luster. Translucent
Sulfur crystals measuring to 2.8 cm can be seen nestled between the large
Celestines near the
top and center. I wish I could convey the incredible flash and brilliance of
this plate. Very nice!

Beautiful old classic featuring
glassy-lustrous Azurite crystals on chatoyant Malachite!
This specimen contrast Azurite crystals with chatoyant surfaces and is a great example of
the beautiful
material coming from the Bisbee Mining District in the late 1880s-1890s. In excellent
condition for its age
with only trivial contacts and clean surfaces. The glassiness increases as the crystals
move up the matrix.

Unique specimen of crystalline
Native Copper, flattened by matrix!
This amazing specimen is entirely composed of flattened crystals which formed
along a narrow seam in the host rock matrix. This imparted the specimen with
a thin, flattened appearance that is quite unique for a Michigan Copper
specimen.
The surfaces are lustrous and covered by an antique patina. A secondary tannish
color runs up along the center, adding a pretty contrast to the patinaed
surfaces.

Peninsula, Michigan.

Rare specimen featuring Native Silver
with Safflorite and Amphibole Asbestos from Cobalt, Ontario!
This specimen is entirely composed of Native
Silver leaves and dendrites, nestled between crystal
balls of Safflorite and sprays of Amphibole Asbestos. The Native Silver is lustrous with a
slightly
golden patina while the Safflorite is steel gray to dark gray. This impressive specimen
from the
historical Cobalt area is quite heavy and loaded with Silver all the way through the solid
base.
The Amphibole Asbestos appears as tightly packed fibers and they sit atop the surface of
both
minerals as well as filling the concave openings in the solid matrix. This is a superb
example of
the richness of the Cobalt area, one of the richest strikes of Silver ever recorded. I
wouldn't be
surprised if there was also some Nickeline or Skutterudite in this very rich mineral
specimen.
From the Cobalt area, Cobalt-Gowganda region, Timiskaming
District, Ontario, Canada.
Measures 5.4 cm by 12.8 cm by 3.8 cm in total size.
