Item #A15

AMAZING! Exceptional pillar of Calcite crystals climbing up and out of a brilliant Pyrite vug!
One of my favorite specimens from this year's show! This specimen is an eye catcher the minute you see
it and I've also never seen anything like it from Chihuahua. The specimen resembles a geode of brilliant
pyrite crystals but is actually a mineral pocket or vug because there is NO matrix. It's ALL Pyrite. Solid
Pyrite all the way through with a dazzling, lustrous, mirror-bright lining of pristine Pyrite crystals which
measure to 2.5 cm in size. From the deepest part of the vug rises a nearly 9 cm pillar of white Calcites,
spraying out in all directions. The Calcites are perfect and terminated, matching the pristine nature of
the entire specimens. This is a major Mexican classic and would be a centerpiece in any collection.
