Item #A17

Vibrant orange Calcite encrusting fossilized shells from Florida!
Fascinating specimen from a state not known for many mineral specimens. This would actually
be considered a mineral/fossil specimen since the sparkling orange Calcite has formed around
fossilized shells from the local waters. The matrix is concave in the center, providing solid protection
for the Calcite surfaces which are mostly clean of contacts or scuffing. This is the first of these I've seen.

so having the crystals on a host matrix makes this a very rare specimen to sat the least.

Item #A28

An amazing plate featuring a huge Apophyllite crystal with Calcite atop green Prehnite!
This is a a specimen the likes of which I've never seen before from Namibia. Apophyllite is not a common
mineral from this locality but it does appear as small crystals every now and then. I have never seen an
Apophyllite crystal of this size from the Goboboseb locale and there are no pictures of anything like this on
mindat.org. The Apophyllite crystal stands upright atop the Prehnite which display complete, glassy faces
on all sides and measures 3.5 cm in size. It sits next to a 2.6 cm Calcite and is surrounded by a brilliant
surface of super lustrous Prehnite crystals. I can't stress enough just how rare this specimen is. It rivals
the Apophyllites one would see from India which is remarkable for Goboboseb! In excellent condition.

Item #A30

Exceptional, large combination specimen of zoned Fluorite wth a phntomed Calcite and Galena crystals!
This is a classic specimen from Illinois and it is one rarely seen these days at any shows. I can't remember
the last time I saw a combination of these three minerals together on the same piece. The Fluorite cubes in
the center are quite large at 7.5 cm and 6 cm across the corners. The cubes are satiny lustrous with blue
interiors and reddish-purple zoning. The picture on the right shows the Fluorites with backlighting. They
really light up! They are accompanied to the right side by a large yellowish Calcite which also displays
a darker internal phantom. It measures over 11 cm in size. On the left side are two highly lustrous and
modified Galenas with a smaller Calcite crystal nestled between and some even smaller Calcites atop
the top Galena. This is a remarklable specimen for the Denton Mine and one that would be very difficult
to replace since combination specimens of this calibre rarely appear on the market. In excellent condition.
