Gorgeous deep gemmy green
Beryl var. Emerald on shiny gray Calcite crystals!
This specimen actually features two Emeralds - the first
being a vertical gem crystals of the
deepest green color. It measures 1.4 cm in size and is perfectly terminated at
top. The second
Emerald is actually a gemmy 2 cm crystal cluster situated near the bottom left
edge. It features
numerous faces and terminations. Both sit atop a matrix covered by super glassy
and lustrous
grey Calcite crystals. This is one of the finest Emerald specimens I acquired at
the show this year.
Locality: Muzo Mine, Muzo
Municipality, Boyacá Department, Colombia.
Measures 5.4 cm by 5.2 cm by 4 cm in total size.

Incredible specimen featuring thick
Aquamarine crystals on Muscovite and Albite!
The Aquamarines are perfectly terminated and jut out in all directions atop the
silvery bladed
Muscovite covered matrix! This is a tremendous Aquamarine specimen from a famous
locale
that just isn't producing the same quality that it once did. This specimen
probably came to market
back around 2002 or 2003 and its aesthetical qualities are excellent. The
crystals are terminated
with flat tips and only the occasional modification. The faces are glassy with
transparent interiors
throughout with better than average color. Contacts are few and invisible among
the dozens of crystals.

of Beryl var. Heliodor!
One of the finest crystals I've seen in recent years, this specimen is
terminated at both ends and displays
an intense golden interior through transparent surroundings. The crystal is
lustrous-gemmy with excellent
color saturation and the surfaces display the typical light natural etching this
locality is famous for. Circa 1980's.

Gorgeous, large Morganite crystal
set atop Albite matrix with Quartz, Muscovite, and Indicolite Tourmaline!
A specimen that is simply beautiful. The Morganite crystal in the middle is a
gemmy deep pink and complete on all sides.
It is accompanied by a smaller Morganite on the back side along with a Kunzite
crystal. Thin, gemmy Indicolite crystals
lay atop the golden Muscovite blades that frame the 6.5 cm Morganite along the
lower right edge. To the left are large,
slightly smoky Quartz crystal points and it is these that the Morganite sits
atop. This was one of the finest Morganites
at the show this year and I love the association. In excellent condition with
glassy pink interiors and only trivial contacts.

Exceptional
specimen featuring a textbook Beryl var. Aquamarine "pencil" with Schorl on
Microcline!
A perfect centerpiece for any collection, this pencil crystal measures over 8 cm
in length and 1.3 cm in width.
It is complete, gemmy, and lustrous and has not been repaired which is extremely
rare for a pencil Aqua specimen.
These specimens all too frequently come apart and the Aquamarine has to be
placed back on the matrix. This crystal
actually goes all the way through the Microcline and is doubly terminated! In
excellent condition with superb clarity.

Exceptional combination of Aquamarine with a large
reddish-pink Fluorite on Muscovite!
I almost never see quality Aqua-Fluorites from Pakistan on the market anymore.
The really
good Fluorites came out years ago and have long since disappeared into private
collections.
I was thrilled to see this piece at the Show and the combination of Aquamarine
and Fluorite,
both exhibiting strong color, is rare. The Fluorites measures right at 3.3 cm in
size and has
a rich color to go along with the typical irregular and modified surfaces. It
sits atop the right
side, separated by and equally well colored Aquaamrine crystal by an Aquamarine
covered
ridge of Muscovite. The Aquamarine is rehealed along the bottom and the piece is
pristine.

of Beryl var. Aquamarine on Albite with Quartz and Muscovite!
This spectacular combination specimen is breathtaking, featuring a perfect
horizontal and doubly
terminated 4 cm Aquamarine crystal laying atop Albite and Muscovite as a
perfectly terminated Quartz
point rises vertically in the background. Mineral presentations don't get much
better than this. The Aqua
is gemmy with a sky-blue coloration which contrasts beautifully with the silver
Muscovite and white Albite
which surround it on all sides. In excellent condition with no contacting or
detractions. A fine centerpiece.

This is a great combination plate! Two bright orange Scheelite crystals
displaying an intense glassy-luster
are overshadowed by large, transparent blue tabular crystals of Aquamarine. The
Aquas measure to 4.5 cm
in size and all three crystals exhibit perfect form. No contacts except a few
along the outer trimming edge.

Large gem crystals of Beryl var.
Emerald with Biotite Mica in Quartz!
These amazing Emerald specimens came to market during the Denver Show 2009 and I
was impressed with what
I saw at the time. They have great Emerald color, being colored by Chromium like
their Colombian counterparts,
and most were 3 cm in length with some measuring up to 8 cm! This is a cluster
of moderately intergrown crystals
of dark green Emerald with crystals to 4 cm in length. The crystals on this
piece are gemmy, lustrous and terminated
by the pinacoid form (flat tops). In excellent condition with superb color
contrast between the black Mica and Quartz.
