Exceptional
and quite large
specimen of Native Silver wires
atop Acanthite covered matrix!
True museum quality, this incredible German Silver has been in a private
collection for years but was
offered to me during the Tucson Show and I was happy to acquire it for the
website! The aesthetics are
stunning and it's difficult to walk away from the specimen without taking
several glances as many people
found out for themselves while it was on display in my showcase. The wires rise
up from the Acanthite
and climb upwards to create a the classic arborescent tree formation! The bottom
wires are very thick,
forming the perfect "trunk" for the tree! The specimen is a true prize and the
antique patina is gorgeous.
It's without a doubt, one of the finest, most impressive Native Silvers I've
ever seen from any locality.
Locality: Himmelsfurst Mine,

Absolutely gorgeous specimen
of deep red Rubellite Tourmaline!
This glassy, well striated specimen of red Tourmaline is a sight to see. It
boasts a perfect termination with a second
smaller crystal sitting horizontally just behind the tip of the main vertical
crystal. This smaller Rubellite is terminated
on both ends and hides a third, even smaller crystal out of view on the back
side. Accents of white Cleavelandite and
Tourmaline drusy fill the spaces between the larger crystals. Two smaller
vertical crystals flank the largest Tourmaline.

Stunning
specimen of crystalline Native Gold on bright white Quartz matrix!
This is a rare specimen of crystalline Native Gold from the famous 16 to 1 Mine
which is famous
for the purity of contrast between yellow Gold and White Quartz. It's for this
reason that most material
from this mine is found in jewelry and cut stones, not mineral specimens like
this one. The Native Gold
here appears as crystalline leaves which are accompanied by trigons, spinels and
even some wires set
among other crystals habits. The contrast between Gold and Quartz is striking
with superb aesthetics.
Locality: 16 to 1 Mine, Alleghany District, Sierra County,

Lovely
specimen featuring two gem Tourmaline var. Elbaite crystals on Albite matrix!
Two pastel colored Tourmalines exhibiting shades of pink and green sit
beautifully atop the center
of the white Albite matrix. Both are perfectly terminated with gemmy interiors
throughout their length.
They change from reddish-pink to pink to grassy green and then yellowish-green
to transparent as they
rise upwards 5 cms above the Albite. At their base is a scattering of smaller,
equally colorful crystals.

Super
aesthetic specimen of Amazonite with Smoky Quartz crystals and Cleavalandite!
This vertically gifted specimen begins with a nearly 6 cm Amazonite crystal of
the deepest
Turquoise color at the base. This gives rise to several white Cleavelandite
clusters which are
topped off by numerous dark Smoky Quartz points, all of which are
terminated. The largest of
these sits horizontally across the top and is doubly terminated. It measures
just over 6 cm in length,
matching up well with the Amazonite crystal below. This is easily one of my
favorites from the show.

Gorgeous
specimen featuring Emerald-green Dioptase crystals on Dolomite draped atop
Quartz crystals!
This is the first and only specimen of Dioptase I've ever seen from Tsumeb that
appeared in association with
Quartz crystals. Not drusy, but sizeable crystals. The Dioptase are beautifully
green with perfect reflective faces
and are in excellent condition across the entire plate. They sit between, and in
some cases, atop the Quartz crystals.
All are hosted by cream colored Dolomite which covers the matrix beneath. An
amazing combo piece with plenty of flash.

Glassy-brilliant Opal var. Hyalite draped atop
lavender Chalcedony!

Absolutely gorgeous specimen
featuring a deep pink Morganite perched atop Quartz points!
This glassy pink jewel is one of the most attractive Morganites from the show.
The gemmy crystal
measures over 9 cm in size and sits high atop several terminated Quartz points
and is accented by
muscovite and Tourmaline along both sides. The Morganite is complete all the way
around with
textbook Beryl faces along the front and complex, matrix-influenced faces along
the back. One
interesting feature is the blue Aquamarine core which is barely visible from the
front but more
apparent on the back side. Technically, that makes this a bi-colored Aqua-Morganite
but it's
much more Morganite than Aqua for sure. In excellent condition with few surface
contacts.

Large gem crystals of Beryl va.
Emerald with Biotite Mica and Graphite!
This emerald cluster is from a classic locality in Brazil, which produces very
few specimen quality pieces.
This is a cluster of three major moderately intergrown crystals of dark green
Emerald with crystals to 6 cm in length.
They are pretty much randomly oriented with the three largest crystals
converging at the top and one in almost parallel
growth and all are translucent to gemmy displaying a satiny to slightly glassy
luster. The crystals on this piece are terminated
on one end by the pinacoid form (flat top). The intersections of the crystals
and portions of the prism faces on the exterior
have a sparkling black patchwork of association with Biotite Mica and Graphite,
and some of the Emerald crystals feature
inclusions. An excellent Emerald group from Brazil, which is remarkably
aesthetic compared to most other examples.

Unique and
rare specimen of naturally etched Galena on yellow Fluorite!

for collectors!

Gorgeous
and quite rare large cabinet plate of Spessartine Garnets with Smoky Quartz and
a large Fluorite crystal!
Tongbei is known almost exclusively
for its classic Spessartine and Smoky Quartz combinations and fine Helvites -
but rarely,
it produces Fluorites too. Sharp, glassy, pretty Fluorite octahedrons. Most are
under 1 cm in size but this plate offers up an
incredible 1 inch green Fluorite octahedron perched aesthetically atop a surface
literally covered with hundreds of brilliant,
gemmy Spessartine Garnets and sharp Smoky Quartz crystals from one side to the
other. This locale is now officially closed
and very few plates of this size and coverage have ever made it to market. The
association of a large Fluorite makes this a
true museum calibre specimen. In excellent condition with no detractions and an
excellent trimming edge. Absolutely superb!

Gorgeous acicular
spirals of Plancheite with Malachite on matrix!
This specimen is one of the most attractive Plancheites I've ever seen and it
has an interesting history.
It was originally labeled as Plancheite from Tsumeb and was acquired from the
Chicago Field Museum
as such. It was then part of the exceptional Sussman Tsumeb Collection before
being sold to a European
collection. I acquired the specimen from this collector and after much research,
it is now widely believed
that this is a very beautiful Congolese Plancheite specimen. That's what I'm
going with as it matches very
well with the locality, but if you purchase the specimen and through further
research can prove that it is
indeed from Tsumeb as it was originally labeled, then you will have an
incredible prize to say the least!

This is a tremendous Silver pseudo and the first I have seen from the Rayas Mine. The
