Exceptional specimen featuring a pristine, gemmy Calcite sitting alongside a
Hematite crystal!
A beautiful combination that is both aesthetic and nearly pristine. The
transparent Calcite at top measures
4.7 cm in size. It sits next to a perfectly terminated, nearly 2 cm tall
Hematite crystal with mirror-lustrous
faces on all side. A couple of smaller Calcite crystals are also present and all
are sitting atop a matrix
covered by super flashy Hematite crystals. In excellent condition with no damage
to speak of. There is
a slight matrix influence irregularity on a backside Calcite face but this does
not detract. Simply superb!
From the N'Chwaning
II Mine, Kuruman, Kalahari manganese field, Northern Cape Province, South
Africa.
Measures 7 cm by 10 cm by 7.4 cm in total size.

VERY RARE!! Historic specimen
featuring Acanthite crystals on Erythrite (Cobalt bloom) covered matrix!
Specimens of this combination from Cobalt are so
rare that you'd be lucky to see one in a decade. This is the first I've offered
in the history of this website (15 years) and I've seen no others, not even during my
visit to Cobalt several years ago. Simply
put, not many large Acanthite specimens with their original Erythrite coating survive from
the Cobalt Mining Disrict. Most
were cleaned or had their Erythrite bloom removed and that is a shame because it's such a
large part of the region's history.
Erythrite, being a Cobalt mineral, is also the reason behind the town's name. This
large plate has been preserved since it
was mined in the early 1900's and the Acanthite crystals are lustrous, measuring to 1.5 cm
in size. They are well scattered
atop the red surfaces. This specimen is a rare opportunity to acquire an original specimen
from a great Silver mining district.
From the O'Brien Mine, Coleman Township, Cobalt area,
Cobalt-Gowganda region, Timiskaming District, Ontario, Canada.
Measures 12 cm by 13.5 cm by 3.4 cm in total size.

Amazing specimen of Native Silver
wires atop Acanthite covered matrix!
Truely museum quality, this ranks in the top five of all German Wire Silvers
I've sold over the past
decade or so. The aesthetics are stunning and it's difficult to walk away from
the specimen without
taking several glances as many people discovered for themselves at the Tucson
Show. The wires
rise up from the matrix and curl outwards and back inwards to create the classic
"tree" appearance.
The greatest wire rises some 15 cm in the very center of the cluster! Freiberg
specimens of this
calibre are few and far between and this represents a wonderful opportunity to
acquire a very fine
and quite lustrous German Wire Silver or upgrade an existing Silver already in a
collection.
Locality: Himmelsfürst Mine, Brand-Erbisdorf,
Freiberg, Mittelsachsen, Saxony, Germany.

Exceptional and rare specimen of
Native Leaf Gold in white Quartz matrix!
This is a MAJOR Gold specimen and of a quality seldom seen from the Oriental
Mine in
California. The Gold appears as brilliant layers of leaf Gold with crystals
present along
the edges of each seam. There are also flattened trigons apparent atop the
surfaces of
the leaf Gold so you could actually say that the entire specimen is crystalline!
The color
of the Gold is a super lustrous butter-yellow indicating a small Silver presence
in the mix.
(Orange would indicate Copper). Specimens of Gold from the Oriental in this size
range
are quite rare and specimens with this much Gold coverage are incredibly rare!
This fine
specimen represents a unique opportunity for Gold collectors and mineral
collectors alike!
Locality: Oriental Mine, Alleghany,
Forest District, Sierra County, California.

Lovely specimen featuring
transparent blue cubes of Fluorite with white Barite crystals and Calcite on
Sphalerite!
Very lustrous and in excellent condition, these cubes are as clear as blue
glass. The color is a deep sky-blue accented
by stark white Barite crystals. There is a little bit of lavender zoning near
the centers of some of the Fluorite cubes
along the Sphalerite matrix, This adds a beautiful contast to the blue
coloration and is very clear due to the transparency.
The white Calcites accenting the sky-blue Fluorite give the piece a bright and
clean appearance.

Exquisite
specimen of Native Silver crystals atop Native Copper matrix!
Without a doubt, this is one of the most aesthetic Michigan Silvers to ever
grace the website! It's named
"The Silver Snowflake" for obvious reasons as its incredible crystalline
structure takes on the appearance
of a large white snowflake atop the Native Copper base. The crystalline
snowflake measures 5 cm in size
and is just that - formed from over a dozen sharp, well formed, and brilliantly
lustrous crystals. Additional
crystals of Native Silver jut outwards along the left edge and the specimen
displays beautifully from both sides.
In excellent condition and boasting a very impressive provenance. This Silver is
worthy of the finest collections.

Very rare specimen of Chlorargyrite (Horn Silver) on matrix from Tonopah!
I have two of these old time classics and both were acquired from an old
collection.
This one displays several waxy silverish-brown leaves of this famous Silver
Chloride
mineral atop reddish-brown matrix. The luster has a wet appearance and the
specimen
is simply fantastic. I doubt I'll see many more of these when my specimens
are gone.

Absolutely gorgeous specimen
featuring a cluster of gemmy, purple zoned, lavender Fluorite cubes set
alongisde Quartz crystals!
This is a specimen with a lot of wow factor and it is as close to perfect as
I've seen in a long time. The lavender Fluorites display
modified edges and they are all super glassy and lustrous with transparency all
the way down to their purple phantomed cores.
The three main Quartz points that rise above the Fluorite cluster to the right
are all terminated and clear with the tallest Quartz
actually displaying a small Fluorite included inside its tip! With flash and
sparkle and Pyrite accents, this is a true centerpiece.

Gorgeous, large Morganite crystal
set atop Albite matrix with Quartz, Muscovite, and Indicolite Tourmaline!
A specimen that is simply beautiful. The Morganite crystal in the middle is a
gemmy deep pink and complete on all sides.
It is accompanied by a smaller Morganite on the back side along with a Kunzite
crystal. Thin, gemmy Indicolite crystals
lay atop the golden Muscovite blades that frame the 6.5 cm Morganite along the
lower right edge. To the left are large,
slightly smoky Quartz crystal points and it is these that the Morganite sits
atop. This was one of the finest Morganites
at the show this year and I love the association. In excellent condition with
glassy pink interiors and only trivial contacts.

Pretty
blue crystals of Turquoise in cluster!
These incredible specimens rarely appear at the shows and are some of the
finest Turquoise
specimens discovered in years! The crystals resemble small cauliflowers and
under magnification
I can see dozens of fine crystals clustered together on the front side. The
thing that is neat about
this specimen is that the backside is also covered with crystals. The color
is a sky-blue and the
specimen is completely pristine with no damage or contacts to any of the
fine Turquoise crystals.

Exceptional Native Leaf Silver with Safflorite and
Skutterudite from the Cobalt Mining District!
This is an amazing Silver - Easily one of the finest Cobalt specimens I've ever
seen and I acquired
it for the website the moment it was offered to me. Atop the white matrix you
have a beautiful display
of numerous lustrous Native Leaf Silvers, all standing upright, with grayish
Safflorite crystal clusters
and Skutterudite nestled between. The leaves average around 2 cm in size and the
visual display of
the specimen is very 3-dimensional. In excellent condition and very, very
impressive! The Castle Mine
is a Silver Mine just west of Cobalt which has produced since 1917. It produced
6.5 million ounces of
Silver and 300,000 lbs of Cobalt by the end of 1931. The mine opened and closed
again in the 1980's.
Mindat.org displays only a handful of photos for the locality with none being as
impressive as this one.

Dramatic specimen featuring Native Copper
crystals with Native Silver banding!
This is a tremendous halfbreed and definately one of the most attractive I've seen from
the
White Pine Mine. It's almost completely crystalline and features Silver banding near the
base,
just above the base, and at the midpoint of the "V". The color and luster shift
is quite noticeable
and makes for great aesthetics. I see what appears to be a spinel-twin Copper crystal
along the
right side of the upper branches and the Copper luster is evident through the
reddish-brown patina.
