Attractive old classic specimen
featuring a large Galena cube sitting atop Ruby-jack covered Chert matrix!
This specimen is from the obscure Lucky Jew Mine
in the Tri-State Mining District. The Galena measures
nearly 6 cm across the corners and displays a second generation of
crystallization. The cube itself sits high
atop the reddish surface of Ruby-jack Sphalerite crystals which cover the Chert
rock beneath. I might also
point out that there are larger Sphalerite crystals present along the edges and
back side in association with
Dolomite. The matrix displays an intense sparkle and the entire specimen is in
excellent condition with no
detractions. There is an original label on the left side listing the locality
and year found - 1929! Remarkable!
From the Lucky Jew Mine, Baxter Springs, Picher Field, Tri-State District,
Cherokee County, Kansas.
Measures 16 cm by 9.5 cm by 8.2 cm in total size.

Gorgeous,
glowing Calcite crystal set atop the center of a Calcite "striped" matrix with
smaller Calcites!
Super glassy surfaces highlight this pristine Golden Calcite which sits
in the center of a Calcite striped plate
alongside two smaller Calcites in the background. The interiors are super gemmy
and the faces are so lustrous
that they almost appear to be wet! The bands of small crystals running left to
right are a really neat feature.

Old classic specimen
of crystalline leaf Native Silver with wires and cubes from Durango, Mexico!
Native Silvers from Durango are incredibly rare and almost impossible to find at
the shows. This
specimen emerged from an old collection of native metal specimens and is
completely crystalline
leaf in structure with a good number of Silver wires and cubes along the left
edge. Also, the Silver
leaves appear platey and many exhibit angular edges. They almost appear to be
flattened crystals
but they are definately crystalline in form. Acanthite drusy accents the highly
lustrous Silver surfaces.
From the Caballo Mine, Indé, Mun. de Indé, Durango,
Mexico.
Measures 10.8 cm by 9 cm by 2 cm in total size.

Unique
specimen featuring Native Copper
crystals with Calcite and Epidote inside a matrix vug!
This interesting Michigan specimen looks like a Copper geode and is rounded on
the back matrix
suggesting it was once a hollow ball that split open to reveal the Copper and
Calcite inside the
interior. The reddish Copper crystals are sharp and jut outwards like teeth with
slanted tips.
Green Epidote can be seen around the periphery, framing out the vug with a green
border.

Keweenaw County, Michigan.

Excellent specimen of rare yellow
Topaz on Quartz from Germany!
This specimen is from the famous Schneckenstein Cliff, a rocky cliff on the NW
slope of Kielberg
Mountain, which has been mined for centuries for its bright yellow Topaz
crystals. The site has
also been protected and off limits for decades so most of the specimens in the
market today are
true antiques. This specimen features a gemmy yellow Topaz which is perfectly
matched by a
companion Quartz crystal on the right. The color is a rich golden-yellow and the
crystal is pristine.
Locality: Schneckenstein cliff (Königskrone
Topaz Mine), Kielberg, Klingenthal, Vogtland, Saxony, Germany.
Measures: 6.5 cm by 7.2 cm by 5 cm in total size.

Classic large plate featuring Calcite
crystals colored by reddish Hematite inclusions!
This is one of the prettiest Calcites from the show. It's covered with dozens of
crystal clear Calcite
crystals along the bottom and right edges with the Calcite crystals along the
upper left showing reddish
inclusions of Hematite which adds both contrast and visual eye appeal. The
specimen is in very good
condition with only the normal incompleteness along the outer trimming edges.
Brilliant and lustrous!

Brilliant yellow crystals of
Adamite and Calcite on orange Limonite matrix!
All the crystals appear both individually and as clusters. They are glassy and

I don't see anything in the way of detracting contacts. The contrast with the
Calcites is very nice.

Exceptional specimen of
sharp, lustrous twinned crystals of Galena on matrix from Tsumeb!
This would easily rank as one of the finest Tsumeb Galena
specimens I've seen recently.
The crystals are sharp and well defined, measuring to 1.6 cm in size. The
surfaces have a
shiny luster and there is a slight reddish iridescence. Galenas of this quality
from Tsmeb are
incredibly rare and the specimen is so high quality that it looks more like
something you'd
find in the Tri-State Region than a mine in Namibia. In excellent condition with
no detractions.
From the Tsumeb Mine in Tsumeb, Namibia, SW Africa.
Measures 10 cm by 7.5 cm by 5.4 cm in total size.

the nicest examples at the show.
