Stunningly beautiful Morganite with Tourmaline, phantomed Quartz on bluish tinted Cleavelandite blades!
One of the finest Morganites I've seen in a long time in terms of color, clarity, positioning on the matrix,
and overall association. The crystal is like pure pink glass. The only thing visible in the center are some
minor crystal growth patterns and a tiny stress line. One could easily read through the center of this amazing
Beryl! It's textbook perfect on all sides with sharp crystal faces and sits perfectly just left of center atop fine
blades of slightly bluish-tinted Cleavelandite. Sitting in the foreground is a phantomed, slightly smoky Quartz
point which provide the perfect contrast for the gemmy Morganite. In excellent condition with no detractions.
Locality: Dara-i-Pech Pegmatite Field, Chapa Dara District, Kunar, Afghanistan.
Measures: 10 cm by 10.2 cm by 6.5 cm in total size.

Gorgeous plate featuring deep vibrant blue botryoidal Shattuckite atop an epimorphic cast matrix!
This specimen appeared at the recent show and is easily the largest and finest plate of Shattuckite
I saw while there. I love the color and the satiny texture of the surface and the way it contrasts with
the lighter blue cast matrix. Specimens of this quality are very scarce and this one is in excellent shape
with very few blemishes or contacts atop the rolling deep blue surfaces. Opportunity knocks with this one.
Locality: Kandesei, Kaokoveld Plateau, Kunene Region, Namibia.
Measures: 8.8 cm by 7 cm by 3.8 cm in total size.

Rare plate of lustrous, blocky orange Wulfenite crystals perched atop botryoidal Mottramite!
The visual contrast between the lustrous orange Wulfenites and the satiny dark olive-green
botryoidal surfaces is stunning. The Wulfenite crystals change over to yellowish-orange along
the left side of the top cluster. A lovely specimen with no damage and barely a scuff anywhere.

MIN#TUCSON2019-112 NEW!

Lovely specimen featuring an Aquamarine crystal with a Morganite crystal on Albite matrix from California!
I rarely see specimens of this calibre from California, much less the Oceanview Mine! This fine specimen was
actually pictured in Rocks and Minerals Magazine in their Oceanview Mine issue from July/August 2008. The
photograph from that issue is shown above. The 3.4 cm Aquamarine is the larger of the two crystals and it exhibits
a perfect form with a light blue coloration and just a hint of pink near the bottom. The Morganite is also pristine
with a beautiful blushed pink coloration. Both crystals are glassy-lustrous and sit side by side atop the Albite
matrix. Another Aquamarine crystal, smaller in size, is located along the far back edge. In excellent condition.
Locality: 49er Pocket, Oceanview Mine, Chief Mountain, Pala, Pala District, San Diego County, California.
Measures: 10.5 cm by 8 cm by 6.4 cm in total size.
Featured in Rocks and Minerals Magazine in their Oceanview Mine issue of July/August 2008

Awesome specimen featuring Quartz var. Amethyst scepters on Quartz crystals!

atop a bed of colorless Quartz. For the rare locality of Washington Camp, It doesn't get much better
than this specimen. With only the most minor of contacts, this Quartz cluster has superb eye appeal.

Gemmy ruby-red crystals of Proustite perched atop Acanthite with Calcite atop Siderite matrix!
This is an eye catcher of a specimen from the classic German locality. The Proustite crystals are
super red and gem. They sit atop a concave vug which is lined by gray Acanthite crystals. On the
peripheries are small white Calcites and the entire matrix appears to be coated by tan Siderite.

MIN#TUCSON2019-121 NEW!

Spectacular Native Silver wires and Acanthite atop matrix with Calcite crystals!
Probably the finest specimen I've ever seen or offered from the Highland Bell Mine in British Columbia,
Canada. The asethetics are off the chart and the association of white Calcite crystals, perched atop and
penetrated by wires of Native Silver as they are suspended in the air along the upper left edge reminds
one of a Kongsberg Silver specimen. Dark gray Acanthite crystals are nestled between the numerous
wires and the entire specimen displays a beautiful golden patina. Stepping back, it becomes obvious that
this specimen is part of a Calcite seam which opened up and provided space for the Native Silver wires
and Acanthites to develop. This would make a fine addition to any Canadian or Silver specimen cabinet.

Locality: Highland Bell Mine, Beaverdell, Greenwood Mining Division, British Columbia, Canada.
Measures: 6.5 cm by 6.6 cm by 3.7 cm in total size.

Very aesthetic specimen featuring curling wires of Native Silver rising from Stellerite covered matrix!
It's hard to imagine a more attractive specimen from this locality. The wires are firmly attached and twist
and wind their way upwards above the yellow Stellerite covered matrix. In great shape with no detractions.

MIN#DENVER2020-137 NEW!

Large cabinet plate of forest green Fluorite crystals appearing as botryoidal surfaces on matrix!
This is a new find that is different than anything else I've seen from China. The crystals are small and gemmy
with a different shade of green. Under magnification I can see dozens of lustrous, stepped angular faces but
the crystals all come together to complete the botryoidal, rolling surfaces. This was one of the prettiest plates
from the new find in China. In excellent condition with an unusual color covered by rolling  luster and flash.

From the Xinyang Prefecture, Henan Province, China.
Measures 12.8 cm by 22 cm by 7.5 cm in total size.

MIN#DENVER2020-131 NEW!

Unique and bizarre specimen of a broken brown bottle with Selenite crystal overgrowth!
This is one of the oddest specimens I've seen from the Tsumeb Mine. It's obviously post-mining as an old glass
bottle was left inside the mine by a miner, broken, and then overgrown by Selenite crystals which grew over and
around the broken glass, holding the various pieces together. The brown bottle sits upright by itself and appear to
have been round as the bottom is ringed and mostly intact. The Selenite crystals are in excellent condition and
exhibit a flashy luster when the specimen is rotated side to side. Very nice and definately a conversation piece.
From the Tsumeb Mine (Tsumcorp Mine), Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia.
Measures 8.6 cm by 6.8 cm by 6.6 cm in total size.

MIN#DENVER2020-132 NEW!

Lustrous cluster of golden Calcite scalenohedrons in a large cabinet display!
This is a beautiful centerpiece cluster of large, terminated golden Calcite crystals rising vertically atop grey host matrix.
The picture above shows the rolling luster quite well but it doesn't quite capture the true depth of this very impressive plate.
The Calcite crystals in the cluster are quite large, with most measuring well over 10 cm in length. They are well terminated
with glassy-lustrous surfaces and the few crystals which are not terminated are well hidden within the arrangement.

From the Milliken Mine, Ellington, Viburnum Trend District, Reynolds County, Missouri.

20 cm by 26.5 cm by 18.3 cm in total size.

MIN#DENVER2020-133 NEW!

Gorgeous specimen of Grossular var. Hessonite Garnets, isolated on white Pectolite covered matrix!
Hessonite Garnets from the Jeffrey Mine are considered the best in the world, and this is a fine, representative specimen.
This large plate has dozens of isolated and gemmy, well striated Hessonite Garnets with minor Pectolite for color contrast.
The Garnets measures to 9 mm across. The specimen is in excellent condition with only a few scattered tiny contacts which
is typical for any large plate from this locality. The eye appeal is off the charts. I've always found the isolated Garnet look
to be much more desirable and aesthetic in comparison to the more common clustered look. Especially when on white matrix!

From the Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Les Sources RCM, Estrie, Québec, Canada.
Measures 9 cm by 16 cm by 4.6 cm in total size.

MIN#DENVER2020-134 NEW!

Brilliant specimen of crystalline Native Gold perched high atop stark white Quartz matrix!
I love the presentation of this specimen. To me it resembles a golden cloud, hovering atop a snowy
mountain peak. I don't often find Italian Golds that spark my interest but this specimen caught my
eye at the show and I acquired it for the website. The Gold is brilliant with an intense luster and the
cluster sits slightly elevated atop the matrix, giving the golden "cloud" the appearance of floating
above the white Quartz surfaces. In excellent condition, this specimen is an eye catcher in any cabinet.
From the Brusson Mine, Brusson, Aosta Valley, Italy.
Measures 7.1 cm by 7.5 cm by 5.8 cm in total size.

MIN#DENVER2020-135 NEW!

Green-tipped crystals of Quartz with Dolomite accenting, a Calcite cluster and Chalcopyrite on matrix!
I love the display this specimen offers, with its fat Quartz crystals that taper perfectly to a light green
tip. I suspect the green coloration is an inclusion of Chlorite. Inside the green tips are multiple phantoms
which are very noticeable under lighting. The Quartz crystals are accented along the back faces by dozens
of Dolomite crystals. This is topped off by a 3.5 cm Calcite cluster and golden Chalcopyrite. No detractions.

MIN#DENVER2020-128 NEW!

An amazing Calcite specimen which is actually a pseudomorph after fossilized Coral!
This is an extremely rare specimen from Key Largo, Florida. From a very small find that I am told consisted
of only a single boulder that was broken up into a small collection of specimens. The coral structure has been
very well preserved with even the finest of details intact. This is BY FAR, the finest of these specimens that
I've ever seen. It's also the largest example. In excellent condition with a flashy, resinous surface luster.

From Key Largo, Monroe County, Florida - Dates back to the Pleistocene age.
Measures 11.5 cm by 9.5 cm by 10.9 cm in total size.

Beautiful specimen featuring a heart-shaped twinned Calcite with Calcites on matrix!
One's eye is immediately drawn to the absolutely pristine Calcite twin along the top left.
It measures 3.3 cm in size and is glassy-lustrous and translucent to light. Other Calcite
crystals of varying habit accompany the twinned crystal and all sit atop a matrix which is
covered by small golden Calcites. In excellent condition save for one nearly invisible cleave.
