MIN#Denver2009-116 NEW!
Large specimen of vibrant pink Kunzite
with Quartz points and Albite accenting!
This beautiful specimen is doubly terminated and the Quartz crystal is nearly pristine
with a full point. The color of the Kunzite is quite strong (so many large Kunzites tend
to be pale) and the crystal faces are well striated and glassy. There are the normal
internal craze lines and the bottom termination is complex due to the influence of
Albite matrix (now removed). I once owned a specimen that had a similar appearance
with a large Quartz in association so I was very pleased to find this one at the show!
From Mawi, Laghman Province of Afghanistan.
Measures 17 cm by 11 cm by 9.6 cm in size.
Ex. Revelle Mineral Collection
Price $5250
Large crystals of Native Copper on
Copper!
Stunning and impressive, this specimen features well
defined Copper crystals
in a cluster which branches out atop the elongated Copper which serves as a base.
The patina is beautiful with shades of brown and reddish brown. This specimen has
definately not been cleaned and it very original in appearance. Most of the crystals
range from 1 cm to 3 cms in size but the elongated crystal at the base is over 6.5 cm!
There is a reddish coating of micro-Cuprite near the top and between the crystals.
From the Quincy Mine, Houghton County, Michigan.
Measures 11.5 cm by 7 cm by 8 cm in size.
